What About Grown Children?

Raising children is the most labor-intensive act a man or woman can do.  It requires long hours, much love, incredible patience and persistence, and the ability to focus on long-term goals.

It can be the most joyous part of a good life.  At times, though, it can be the most challenging.

And then, they are out of the home and everything changes.  How do you parent when they’re gone?  Listen to my thoughts in my devotional.

Vacation Bible School!

Vacation Bible School is great for members and guests alike!  It’s fun, family friendly (with classes for all ages), gives great memories, shares the gospel, and gives us a chance to meet new people in our community.

Sign up now by scanning the QR code or clicking on the picture to register for VBS! Whether you’re a volunteering or attending, registering yourself and your family ahead of time helps us plan and prepare. (If you’re planning to attend the adult class, register yourself as a child.) Thanks, and we’re looking forward to seeing you there!

Another Way To "Love People!"

Who uses heat relief centers?  Unhoused people.  Senior  adults who want to get out of the house–or who can’t afford air conditioning.  Families with children trying to save money.  Those are the typical people who use heat relief centers in Maricopa County.

We’re not sure who will use our heat relief center, but we’d like to try this ministry this summer.  We need volunteers to be in the room for a four hour shift, anytime from 8:00 to 8:00, Monday – Sarutday.

Email [email protected] if you can help!

The Family is in Trouble!

The family is in serious trouble.  And since the family is the “ultimate building block,” we’re all in trouble.

Evidence is everywhere.  Homelessness increases when families don’t care for their own.  Children are without a solid foundation and pass on dysfunction to the next generation.  Financial issues increase because it’s hard to maintain two households when families break up.

It’s time to take a fresh look at key Bible passages about the family.  Join us as we continue on May 18!
