How To "Love Someone Who Doesn't Deserve It"

Last Sunday, I challenged you to love someone who doesn’t deserve love, meaning to do for others what God has done for us.  We don’t deserve God’s love; but He still loves us.

How do you do that?  Let’s talk about it!

And when you do so this week, I’d love to hear your story.  Tell me about it!

Sunday's Baptism

Baptism is the Biblical way to show God, your family, the church, and the world that you are a believer in and a follower of Jesus Christ.  It’s not what makes you a Christian, but it is the beginning of your public life as a Jesus follower.

In the video, you can see Jorge Murrietta being baptized during this last Sunday’s 11:00 service.

If you are thinking about baptism–or you are ready–please schedule a time to speak with one of our pastors!

Where Are Our Godly Leaders?

I started this blog with a disclaimer:   I’ve preached and taught the same thing since the 1980’s.  Over the years, I’ve offended members of both major political parties, but I’m not purposely picking on either.  Instead, I am calling on the church to demand candidates and leaders of integrity and to quit playing political games and offering excuses.

My point is simple:  “People of God should insist on candidates and leaders of Godly character and integrity.”

This Wednesday’s class is on the Doctrine of God.

How To Help Those in LA

People of love naturally want to help financially after a disaster like the fires in the Los Angeles area.  If you do so, make sure that you are not the target of a scam.  Many disreputable organizations take advantage of the love of good people and promote their organizations in ads and on social media and through texting.

You can, of course, give to a national and well-known organization like the Red Cross, or you can give to Send Relief, an organization of Southern Baptists operating disaster relief teams.  Or, you can give through our church (Put “Disaster Relief” on the “Other” line of our giving options, and we will forward it on to Arizona Disaster Relief.
