Iran has been much in the news recently, primarily due to the ongoing war, the closing of the Straits of Hormuz, and the resulting rise in the price of gasoline in the United States.

I always like to go beyond the political and economic news and get a glimpse of “life on the street” for people.  And the truth is that it’s a very hard time for Christians in Iran.  Christian Pastors and being detained and killed.  And it is now a criminal act to watch or listen to any gospel broadcast.

There is some good news behing the persecution.  Despite the hardships, many Iranians are leaving Islam and becoming believers in Jesus.  Find out more by reading this article on Baptist Press.  

And don’t forget to thank God for our religious freedom and don’t forget to pray for believers in places like Iran.  We have it easy.  They have to “count the cost” in a way we do not!
