Treating Symptoms Isn't Enough
A good doctor looks at the symptoms, treats them as needed, and then seeks and treats the cause. Does the patient have an alarmingly high fever? Find a way to reduce it before the fever itself causes damage. And then find and treat the cause.
Many of the symptoms we see in our country need to be treated. But that is not enough. We must find and treat the cause. Think about that as you listen to my devotional!

Who's Your One?
You may have seen the “Who’s Your One?” display in our East foyer. The question at the heart of this program is simple – Who is the one person you are sharing the Gospel with? Evangelism can feel overwhelming. We all know many people who need to hear and receive the Good News of Jesus Christ. It’s tempting to leave it up to pastors, teachers, and church leaders to do this work, but God has called all of His people to help reach the lost.
So who is your One? Taking time to share the love of Jesus with someone you know is the most effective way to spread the Gospel. Stop by the display for some helpful tools and ideas to get you started!
Scan the QR code or click on the picture to register for VBS! Whether you’re a volunteering or attending, registering yourself and your family ahead of time helps us plan and prepare. (If you’re planning to attend the adult class, register yourself as a child.) Thanks, and we’re looking forward to seeing you there!

The Family is in Trouble!
The family is in serious trouble. And since the family is the “ultimate building block,” we’re all in trouble.
Evidence is everywhere. Homelessness increases when families don’t care for their own. Children are without a solid foundation and pass on dysfunction to the next generation. Financial issues increase because it’s hard to maintain two households when families break up.
It’s time to take a fresh look at key Bible passages about the family. Join us beginning May 11 as we study these passages!
