July 10 Edition

Think On These Things

While on vacation, Pastor Jack has had the opportunity to do what Philippians 4:8 tells us to do – think about good things.

Hear his thoughts here – and try not to be too jealous of his surroundings!

Pray for our Children at camp!

A group of 26 children and leaders left for camp on Monday. Here are some ways you can pray for them:

  1. Pray for safety and good health.
  2. Pray for friendships to be formed and strengthened.
  3. Pray for hearts that are ready and eager to hear from God!

Walk With Us Through Our Refresh Project!

WAC in the MAC

Good food.  Good fellowship.  Ministry to the homeless.  Prayer.  Bible Study.

These things occur every Wednesday at our church. The homeless ministry opens at 4:00 pm.  The meal for everyone begins at 5:30, followed by prayer.  At 6:30 pm, we offer Bible classes for all ages!

This Wednesday’s meal includes Chicken Enchiladas, Mexican Rice, Salad and Brownies.

Contagious Faith

Our Outreach Intern, Logan Wiles (that’s him in the goofy Disneyland hat in the picture) will teach our Wednesday night class in July at 6:30 pm in Building D.  The class begins on July 3 and will continue for four weeks.

Logan will teach us how to share our faith naturally as part of who we are.  Rather than a memorized or scripted approach to sharing our faith, this class will help us learn how to make our own personal faith “contagious.”

Join us each Wednesday in July!

Looking Forward to August!

Our church has watched many of the “Kendrick Brothers” movies in the theater, including War Room, Courageous, Fireproof, and more.  And their latest movie, “The Forge” will be out in August.

Once again, we are renting a theater at Harkins (this time at Estrella Falls) and going together!  We will make tickets available soon for the movie on Sunday evening, August 25, at 5:00 pm.

In the meantime, enjoy the trailer.  You will see some familiar faces from the previous movies!

Youth and Childrens Study on Sunday

It's an Act of Love!

It’s a totally anonymous act of love, the kind of thing that Christians should be known for!

It’s time for our next blood drive.  On Sunday, July 28, from 9:30 to 1:30, we are hosting Vitalant for our next blood drive.  Here’s some good news . . . since it is on the same day as our return to our refreshed worship center, you can worship with us, celebrate baptism, enjoy a baby dedication, give blood, AND enjoy a BBQin the MAC with pulled pork sandwiches following the second service.

It’s going to be a great day in the life of our church, and the blood drive adds a special element to it!

Set up an appointment by contacting Jodi Bettag at 602.751.8494 or [email protected]

Want to Learn to Speak Spanish with other ABC Members?

Many of our members (Pastor Jack included) want to learn to speak Spanish.  God has provided a way.  One of our own members (Gabby Barrera) teaches conversational Spanish.

We’re still working out full details.  It will most likely be taught right here at ABC during the week (morning or evening TBA) and we will share the cost.  The class will begin in August.  If you are interested in a once-per-week 45 minute class, email Pastor Jack at [email protected].

Prayer Meeting Online and In Person!

We meet for prayer every Wednesdays at 5:30 pm in conjunction with our Wednesday meal.  We also have an online prayer group meeting on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm.  You can join prayer meeting via zoom by following this link.
